1994: B.Sc. in Chemistry and molecular biology/biochemistry from Odense University.
1997: M.Sc. in Chemistry and molecular biology/biochemistry from Odense University.
2000: Ph.D. from the Danish University of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Supervision and research management:
Formal pedagogical training at the associate professor level and training in supervision of PhD students. Experience as research leader through many years of project management and supervision of postdocs (10), PhD-students (12), MSc students (~50), and laboratory technicians. Currently main supervisor for three PhD students and co-supervisor for 5 PhD students. Experience with administrative tasks, various committees, course-management (BSc, MSc and PhD level), congress-management, research funding allocation, and other aspects related to research management. Examples include, but are not limited to 1) Member of the departmental leader team at Department of Basic Sciences and Environment, University of Copenhagen (2011-2012) and Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology, University of Copenhagen (2014-), 2) Member of teaching committee at Department of Basic Sciences and Environment, University of Copenhagen (2008-2010), 3) Chairman of the Research and Innovation Committee at Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology, University of Copenhagen (2015-), and 4) Member of the PhD Study Board at Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, University of Copenhagen (2013-).

Research interests:
Hyphenated techniques: High-resolution bioassay coupled with HPLC-DAD-SPE-NMR-MSn and related techniques. Metabolomics: Development and application of NMR-, MS-, and HPLC based metabolomics within life-science. Functional food and bioactive natural products: Development of functional food based on berries, fruit vegetables and other edible plants.

Publications:
Published 80+ papers in international peer-reviewed journals in addition to 9 popular magazine articles, etc. Hirsch-index: 23; M-index 1.5 (ISI Web of Knowledge – database = Web of Science 1997-2014).
