Our new professor of radiopharmaceutical chemistry
We celebrated the inauguration of Professor Matthias Herth as our new professor of radiopharmaceutical chemistry on May 31.
Radiopharmaceuticals are attracting interest with respect to targeted radioligand therapy, drug development or even within plant research. In his lecture, Professor Matthias Herth described his involvement within this exciting field. He summarized his journey from early discoveries to recent applications. Truly, a radioactive journey – from here to there.
Head of Department, Professor Dan Stærk gave the welcoming speech before Matthias Herth’s inaugural lecture and presented him with the traditional gift of a Pharma mortar. Afterwards, everyone got together for a festive reception in Atrium.
The official inauguration took place in the ceremonial hall at Frue Plads Friday 7 June, where all new professors were inaugurated by Dean Bente Merete Stallknecht.
